On Saturday morning, Robert D. Bowers opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh killing 11 innocent people and injuring 6 others. Authorities claim Robert was armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle and three handguns. In addition, it is believed that Bowers motive behind the shooting was anti-Semitic and according to police, Bowers shouted, “All Jews must die.” Also, in an article, CNN states, “Bowers is charged with 11 counts of using a firearm to commit murder and multiple counts of two hate crimes: obstruction of exercise of religious beliefs resulting in death, and obstruction of exercise of religious beliefs resulting in bodily injury to a public safety officer.”
